Comet Wierzchos Is In The House!

The Sky Live @21 October 2025

Comet Wierzchos, discovered in 2024, will make perihelion on 20 January 2026. Right now, with 4 Comets and a Cosmic Visitor in our Solar System, I can only imagine how much energetic stuff is permeating though our Space.

The screenshot above does not show 3I/Atlas (link below image for interactive chart), which I thought was rather odd. I don't know enough of this protocol to form an opinion ~ maybe they don't show objects approaching our Sun because they can't be seen or tracked? ~ but I did manage to find another chart that faintly shows 3I/Atlas:

Wiith 3I/Atlas' perihelion about a week away (29 October 2025), here's how our Solar System will look then, position-wise:

Comet Lemmon & Comet Swan Visible In Sky

LiveScience

There's a bunch of stuff I would like to post (excluding my own backlog) so let's start with this one since today is the day. From LiveScience:

Comet Lemmon (C/2025 A6) makes its closest approach to Earth on Oct. 21, about 24 hours after the fainter Comet SWAN (C/2025 R2) does the same. Here's how, where and when to see them both.

Please follow this link for the rest of the article.

I'm providing only this link but of course there are others that you can also look up (no pun intended...."Don't Look Up") ~ I truly wish to avoid trawling through the trash that is out there, so much drama / AI-generated content / fear-mongering / clickbaits and on and on. It seems like virtual content is now populated with screaming headlines, fake information and questionable "news".

Let's move on to the next post....

Comet-Studded Solar System

The Sky Live

There are currently 3+1 Comets/Objects in our Solar System right now, as illustrated in the above image. I can only imagine the heightened energetic state our Solar System is in right now, and speculate what else is really going on.

Here's a stunning photo of Comet Lemmon from Space.com:

Comet C/2025 K1 (ATLAS) is at perihelion:

And here's Comet Swan, courtesy of the famous pair via Starwalk Space:
