Solar Activity & SR

SpaceWeatherLive

Energetically-speaking, the final few days of 2023 and these first 2 days of 2024 have been immense and intense. I think this is quite a good indicator of how the year will play out ~ so many different dynamics all operating simultaneously as our beautiful Planet continues ever-Godward along her Ascension Journey under the watchful purview of the Cosmos.

The SR in the past few days have been registering high readings alongside those thin stripey things again:

Space Observing System

Aaaaand...... an X5-flare erupted on 31 December 2023 at 22:05 UT (that would already be 1 January 2024 in many countries), spewing out what must be tons of Cosmic Plasma that would affect every single sub-atomic particle in the Solar System. Reports state that it's the strongest flare since September 2017.

Japan was sadly hit by a 7.6-magnitude earthquake on 1 January 2024 ~ this could be related to the X5-flare ("Science" does not openly/officially recognise the correlation between the two).

Solar wind forecast post-flare looks like this:

High density and pressure as well:

....And Here It Comes!

With so much explosive energy being expelled by our Sun over the past week, Solar Storming was an inevitability.

Solar Activity & Sungrazer Comet

Laboratory of X-ray Astronomy of the Sun

More Solar stuff! First off, we're in the midst of a geomagnetic disturbance (above).

Solar flaring was pretty intense in the past few days, with an X-class flare registering on 14 December, followed by a couple of strong M-class flares the next day:

Laboratory of X-ray Astronomy of the Sun

The Sun Today has a video clip that shows the origin of these strong flares, please view it here. The X2.8 flare is reported to be the strongest since 2017.

Screenshot from The Sun Today

The CME clocked a maximum speed of 1953 km/sec (7,030,800 km/hr):

Earlier, a kamikaze Kreutz comet disappeared into the Sun on 12 December:

The Sun Today has more details about this event ~ I can't help but infer that the X2.8 flare is connected with the comet's death dive.

Coming back to the present.... We're currently experiencing very strong geomagnetic pressure ~ click link below image for animation:

....and also very high density (click link for animation):

Solar Activity & SR

Space Observing System

Some data over the past few days.....

SR readings showed high activity from 3 - 6 December 2023 (above & below):

Space Observing System

25 Solar Flares were detected on 5 December 2023:

Here's a look at one active burst on 8 December 2023:

Solar Activity: 1-2 December 2023

SpaceWeatherLive

We just got a massive Plasma dump (above) with Solar Winds clocking at max 2014 km/sec (!!!)....that's 7,250,400/hr.

This is what's sparking all the frenetic activity:

And we're right in the midst of geomagnetic storms:

With more expected....this report from SpaceWeather:

A HOLE IN THE SUN'S ATMOSPHERE: A huge hole has opened in the sun's atmosphere, and it is directly facing Earth. Solar wind flowing from the hole will reach our planet on Dec. 4th or 5th. Its arrival should spark G1-class geomagnetic storms. Aurora alerts: SMS Text

Solar Activity ~ 27 November 2023

The Sun Today: Solar Facts and Space Weather

From The Sun Today: Solar Facts and Space Weather:

🌞 Sun activity for November 27, 2023: Solar blast heading our way?

🔝 📰 Today’s top news: It is a low sun activity day, but nobody told our star that. It released a huge rope of plasma and magnetic field, a filament, off into space, possibly heading our way. We await further analysis for confirmation of an Earth-directed coronal mass ejection (CME).

🤩 🥳 😎 If this CME is heading toward Earth, this could mean disturbances in Earth’s magnetic field, geomagnetic storms, and more aurora. Stay tuned!
🧐 MORE at EarthSky: bit.ly/sunactivity

The Sun Today posted a spectacular footage of our Sun's energetic billowing (please watch via link given). One of those CMEs clocked a max of 1953 km/sec (7,030,800 km/hr).

Solar Activity

SpaceWeatherLive

It's been very active Solar-wise, with not one but two extremely high-speed CMEs observed on 23 November 2023, reaching max speed of 2016 km/sec.... that's 7,257,600 km/hour! 😲

SpaceWeatherLive

From SpaceWeather.com, which includes spectacular footage of both the high-speed CMEs:

A SHARP INCREASE IN SOLAR ACTIVITY: Over the past week, sunspot numbers have increased almost 10-fold with dozens of dark cores now present on the solar disk. It is no surprise that solar activity has sharply increased as well. Just today multiple overlapping CMEs have billowed away from the sun:

SpaceWeather.com

Analysts will have to spend some time unraveling these clouds to determine their trajectories. However, a NASA model already suggests one may be heading for Earth. The first, bright southerly CME shown in the movie above could hit our planet's magnetic field during the late hours of Nov. 25th. Stay tuned for updates. CME alerts: SMS Text

There were some geomagnetic storms observed, but more are expected as a result of this recent Solar activity.

SR (Lack Thereof) & Solar Activity

Météo Côte d'Or ~ France

Aurora Borealis enthusiasts found themselves amply rewarded over the past week when skies were lit up by these lights, even in places which don't typically get them.

We had this rather rare Full Halo CME on 9 November:

SpaceWeatherLive

And our Planet received a full dose of high energies:

We had another blast of Solar Plasma on 12 November, at max 1329 km/sec:

SpaceWeatherLive

And throughout this period of Solar activity plus Aurora Borealis proliferation, the SR readings were generally in hibernation mode:

DisclosureNews

I'm no expert and I could be totally wrong, but I've been feeling quite doubtful over the SR readings for several months now, especially with all the frequent blackouts they seem to be having. I'll leave it at that.

The Solar Tally So Far....
